I love to read but I don't know what to read next. I read a lot of different things from James Patterson Books to Harry Potter to Ender's Game. I'm a young teenage, but I can read adult books. Any Ideas? ^___^

Read any books by Amy Tan, Sharon McCrumb, Nora Roberts, Alice Hoffman ... these are all good writers and they all write in series so there are a lot of books .. and they are more adult so would be a good workout. These are the first that came to mind. You might want to spend a little time in the classics section of the book store for some great books - To Kill a Mockingbird, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, My Antonia, Song of the Lark, The Good Earth, ... and then Agatha Christie, Josephine Tey, Ngaio Marsh for mysteries ... Robert Ludlum, Dean Koontz ... Judy Blume, Betty Smith, Margaret Atwood, Sandra Cisneros, Joyce Carol Oates, Alice Walker, Carson McCullers, Catherine Marshall, Laura Ingalls Wilder (yes, Little House on the Prairie - but these are wonderful stories and have a very different feel from the tv show).

*freaks out* I love Stephenie Meyer ... Try reading Blood and Chocolate, by Annette Klause.
Try the Farseer Triology by Robin Hobb, as well. I haven't finished it, but a friend who is equally obsessed with Meyer said that Hobb's writing is better than Meyers [although they are nothing alike within the plot, of course]
Robert Jordan [be careful, you'll get sucked in and you will have to read every single 1000 page book of the 12 book series, so don't start that series unless you have lots of time on your hands] Robin McKinley is AMAZING, Jane Austen, O. Henry, Paulo Coehlo [specifically, The Alchemist] Chaim Potok, [specifically, My Name is Asher Lev and the Chosen], Cynthia Voight, Charlotte (i.e. Jane Eyre) or Emily Bronte (Wuthering Heights), Charles Dickens [for a short story long] and .... C.S. Lewis.

:-D

Ferris Beach by Jill McCorkle is a wonderful book for a young teenager/young adult female. I remember reading it at that time in my life. I had to read it for school, but I loved it. I am not sure where you are from, but it is a bit "southern," and it is somewhat of a coming-of-age story. McCorkle is from one of the Carolina's, I believe. I am from Louisiana, but I related to it easily. I am not familiar with the books you listed in your question. I have heard of Harry Potter, but I haven't read of the books. I will tell you that Ferris Beach will be much more realistic, so it may not be your taste, but a wonderful read nonetheless.

I have some really good books they are kind of childish but they are really really good books, Number the Stars, by Lois Lowry, Maniac Magee by Jerri Spinelli, anything by him is good, Stargirl, by Jerri Spinelli, and Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is a great book, The Giver, by Lois Lowry, all are wonderful books, I also remember when I was younger I loved the Boxcar Children Series, by Gertrude Chandler Warner if you want something easy to read.. hope this helps.

Wishbone I think thats a series is a great Book anything by Mark Twain is really good, and then The Outsiders, is a good book, about a group of teenage boys and theirs a movie as well.
There was also this book Called "My Brother Sam is Dead" its based on a revolutionary war story, and then "Homecoming" is about 4 kids who have to go live with different people after their mom leaves them etc. but their is also a movie but its a good book.

If you liked Ender's game, check out Orson Scott Card's Homecoming series, or his Alvin Maker series (Seventh Son). Both series are great - Homecoming is interesting cause it follows generations of people rather than a single character.

I love reading too.. and when I read a good book by a certain author, I keep reading his or her stuff till I get tired of their style, then move on. :) Happy Reading!

My friends and I are reading this series called Sweep by Cate Tiernan. It's about Morgan Rowlands who finds out, at age 17, discovers she's a blood witch. Not just any blood witch, but the most powerful witch in centuries. There are 15 books total. They are mostly narrated by Morgan. They are so hard to put down. I really recommend them. BTW we're in 8th grade.
