again, another sterotype. if we are going by labels then my "gothic" friends all have different music tastes. Not all of them go in their rooms, turn off the lights, and listen to Satanic Death metal. Some of my buddies listen to country, some listen to Panic! At The Disco, some listen to rap, and some listen to death metal. Not all so-called "goths" listen to the same music. Besides "goth" is just a word teenagers made up so thet could further label and torture unpopular kids.

Real gothic music rocks! Sisters of Mercy, Southern Death Cult, Switchblade Symphony, etc. and fantastic and original. As for goths, each individual one is different, so I can't really make a judgment about all of them.

Just kidding.
Evanenscence is as gothic as I get, and from what I've heard, they're not that gothic. I think any non-threatneing medium that allows you to express your and release pent-up emotions is good for society.
But the only thing I know about the term "gothic" is that it's a font on my computer, and that it was a period in the history of modern art. From the "gothic" kids that I've met, the only conclusion that I can draw is that they're just regular people, who are just trying to live their life.

i like their music. Goths are just like every one else, they're human,they live on Earth.

I have no problem with them, and even like death metal myself. I just wish that they would be a little bit more informed about what it is exactly that they are trying to emulate and understand what the music and culture is really all about!

I think its a poor excuse to pretend its haloween every day. I mean if you have on black makeup and you dont want people to look at you and you get mad cause we look at you and make fun of you then maybe just maybe you shouldnt put on the black makeup. afterall your not Gene Simmons or anyone famous except maybe in your own mind. dont feel bad though cause i laugh at the people who think theyre cowboys.(and theyre not) kindof like how the "goths" arent vampires!!!!!

I think that it's hilarious the way they think they're all being "original" when thousands of others are also dyeing their hair magenta, (or (insert oddball color here____) wearing all black & don silver spider/skull, "HIM" rings & necklaces.
I also notice many not all, TEND to have an in-your-face, obnoxious atittude.
