Hi when you leave a job before giving your weeks notice and you obviously wont get paid the week you worked in hand, But the letter you wrote saying why you where leaving, where does that go when the manager has read it. Do they just bin it or do they have to send it to head office or something.
Im just wondering because i worked for this company for a few months and everyone who previously worked there had left, and it was me who was new and another girl left and then the managers go a load of new people. But they where being picky at me and make loads of comments to me which i though were unfair and disgraceful So i decided to leave and not go back and i worte in my letter to them that i didnt like the comments they where making about me. And funnily enough all the managers have left now and new managers are there.
I was just windering if the letter people right to comfirm why they have left go to head office and could this be why the managers have moved jobs.

There is no one answer to your question, the procedure and process will vary company to company. The final resting point will be your personnel file for the letter. And, unfortunately, the company will mark you as "left with no notice" should someone call to check your previous employment. That is a loud signal to a prospective employer, irregardless of the reason why you left the company.

It sounds like maybe your letter did strike a cord some where and they moved or fired the managers who were in place. Next time try working through the problem with your company rather than just leaving with a letter. Go to the next level of managers, or to your H.R. department. Let them know what is being said or done to the employees so they can try to fix it before the high turnover keeps happening.

Typically, corporations will simply rotate their managers to avoid conflict rather than punitively punish them. However, there are a few responsible organizations that take such matters to heart. When you find one, do business with it, even if it costs you a bit more. The employees who might otherwise find themselves in your position, will owe you one.

I make it a point to always write the letter to corporate and send it both to corporate as well as the locale where I had the complaint.

Who did you send your letter of resignation to.??

If it was your boss, he would have gotten rid of it and not passed it up the line because he would look bad by your comments.

But you say there was a lot of turnover of staff where you work.

Your bosses boss sees that, and knows there is a problem....It cost a lot of money to a company to keep changing staff, and I am not surprised your boss is gone, if he was the problem.

The letter goes in your file in the personnel office.
