He was caught writing himself prescriptions for his pain. and Cutty lied to keep him out because he is so good at his job. He really is in pain so she figured if he saves lives it is worth it. The wheelchair thing is a bet and it is also a way to annoy everyone.

Several episodes ago, he treated a patient and was extremely rude to him--you know, just normal House. Well, the guy turned out to be a cop and he didn't think House was so amusing. So he started investigating House and just generally making his life miserable. He ended up finding out that House had been writing prescriptions for himself for painkillers using Wilson's pad. So he brought him up on charges for stealing drugs from the hospital. It went all the way to a hearing, where Cuddy lied and said they were just sugar pills, and the judge let him go.
As for the wheelchair, that was just in this past episode. There's a new doctor in the hospital who is in a wheelchair and they gave House's parking spot to her. Of course he argued that he needed the spot more because sitting in a wheelchair all day is easier than hobbling around on a cane. She bet him that he couldn't last a week in her wheelchair, so he took the bet and gave it a shot. (She won, but House got his parking spot back anyway.)

he went to jail because a cop that he treated but improperly got pissed at him and decided to make Houses' life miserable and found out he's a drug addict and got him arrested for possession of a dead mans drugs. All the cop wanted was an apology which house would not give.so the cop went after him full force.
the wheelchair is used when he wants to use it. Last night it was for a bet.

He butted heads with a cop. The cop caught him and charged him for his drug addiction (over several episodes....I'm so glad they finally ended that stupidity). Cuddy lied under oath to protect him. All charges were dismissed.
House was in a wheelchair this past episode because he had a bet with Cuddy over a handicapped parking space. He lost the bet but guilted Cuddy into the space anyway.

Hey you can actually go to peekvid.com and watch the entire season. I did. He didn't get sent to jail, he would go to jail for being a narcotic user. He take Vitakin for his pain and has become addicted to it. One of his patients were a cop and thought he was treated rudely and went after Dr. House. Him being in a wheelchair is just for fun he doesn't need it.

House was treating a man for some medical problem and typical House was rude to the patient who turned out to be a police officer. The officer was played by David Morse (he was one of the main cops in the movie Green Mile). House decided to be a jerk (typical loving man that he is lol) and insert a rectal thermometer into Morse's butt and of from that point on Morse set out to ruin House.
Morse discovered that House was abusing his stand as a doctor by getting prescriptions left and right for Vicodin. Morse even broke into House's apartment and discovered a huge bag of nothing but Vicodin pills as well as hundreds of prescriptions made out to House by Wilson, but it turned out that House had forged Wilson's name. In the end, House was given an ultimatum, either go into rehab or go to jail for forgery and illegal possession of narcotics with intention to sell.
While Morse tried to dig up more dirt on House, House was put on probation and his Vicodin doses were given to him on a strict schedule. While on probation and helping Wilson with a case, House picked up a prescription of Vicodin under Wilson's name for a patient that had already died that morning. Morse took the pharmacy log book and used it against him in court.
At that point, at the very last minute, Cuddy took the stand and lied to the court saying that she knew House would steal the meds so she had called ahead of time and had the pills replaced with placebo pills (this was a lie). At that point, the case was dropped and Cuddy saved House from jail time.
As far as House being in a wheel chair... there's a new medical scientist working at the hospital who happens to be in a wheel chair as she cannot walk. House becomes livid when he loses his handicap parking spot to this new woman. He asks Cuddy to return his spot to him and she said no. House then made a bet with Cuddy that if he could survive a week in a wheel chair that he'd get his spot back. Well, House basically made it an entire week, minus the two minutes he had to jump up to save a potentially dying man's life. Cuddy tried to use it against House saying he lost the bet cut and dry. House of course pulled a quick comeback out of his pocket and made her feel guilty because she lied about the bet and knew all along she wasn't going to give him his spot back. So when House called her on her bluff, she felt guilty and later that evening House walked out to his car to go home and saw that his spot had been returned.
The show ended like that, with House giving his typical and handsome smirk.
I hope you're up to speed now! House is a FANTASTIC show! Definitely one of my two favorite shows. My 2nd favorite is Grey's Anatomy.
