i have heard this so much that i looked it up and came up with many definitions for it. Like one example is hacking your computer by tweaking it, personalizing it. Another one is hacking other systems and doing bad things on it. how do people do this? how do they learn to this?

Very, Very smart people that have entered into and unauthorized area of the computer system. Another term could be breaking and entering not commonly used but pretty much the same thing.

It is very easy to get to the computer. Getting on the computer is another matter. The IP address will tell a person what computer he is going for. A lot of times a free program on the internet will have a small hacking code in it. Maybe the writer doesn't know this. another good way is they get really knowing of the code of a game that is played on the internet. They put the beginning opf the hack inside the code. Since your computer recognizes the info as part of the game . It goes by your firewall. Most of the ways that I know are now gaurded against. I helped write the gaurds for my job.

hacking has recently taken on a negative connotation. hacking really just means to come up with a clever solution (or workaround) to solve a problem or reach a goal.

a good hacker will learn to do what they do by first understanding how things are designed to work, how they actually work, and then thinking of ways to make whatever it is do what they want it to do.

hacking in the sense that most people today will understand it will be to break into a computer system without permission. there are many "hacking tools" people can use and don't necessarily require any intelligence to run. *cough*scriptkiddiez*cough*

Hacking is another person getting another person's personal information such as email accounts, bank numbers if you have them on the web etc. They do this by using high tech programs on the web and then they can get into your email and change all the settings. They can only learn this if they go to an illegal school.Don't put your bank numbers and very personal things like that on the web.

Sorry......

Hacking has nothing to do with malicious or criminal activities :(
Real Hackers they don't waste their time with subseven or try to ddos networks they do serious work on complicated stuff like BSD and Linux Kernels. 99% of script kiddies and crackers don't have the patience to understand the underpinnings of an os they only know how to break and destroy.
