There is no point in being jealous of what others have, but it is only human nature to want more and be a little jealous of others assests. Such a emphesis is put on what people want than what people have, it is not funny, it takes a big mature and content person to get past all of this-material goods-and be happy with what they have.

Well, you and your boyfriend are still rather young, so I can see why there would be an element of insecurity and jealousy on his part. But my question would be.. Have you tried to talk to your boyfriend? It sounds like he wants some time with you without this best friend always lurking around. And that's something that I cannot fault him for. Moreover, it sounds like you have more interest in this best friend of yours then your boyfriend, who is held down by restrictions, such as his parents and schedule. There's not a whole lot you can do to not make him jealous.. If it's not one guy that he's jealous of you giving your attention to, then it will be another. But pay attention to what kind of attention you are giving this best friend and figure out if you are giving your boyfriend a reason to be jealous. If you're flirting with this other guy and hanging all over him, then you're sending the wrong signs to not only other people, but to your boyfriend.. In which case, I can't blame him for feeling jealous.

There really is no point for jealousy, but it's human nature. People always want what they don't have, and the harder it is to get it, the more it makes people want it. I don't think it's something we can control. Some people are more jealous then others, but if someone never, ever, gets jealous there is something psychologically wrong with them. Human nature is human nature. It's just the way people were programmed.

I know what you are talking about, I went through it for a long time w. my bro and sis n law. But then I realized, i really don't want what they have. Its more stress on them. I like where I am at and what I don't have as compared to what I do have.
They may have more $, bu they also have more responsibilities, I don't want all of that.

hm, i don't agree about being happy with what you have but working on it so you can get better than the ones who have what you want. you can do it, you just have to find a way.
