Several questions:
Is it highway miles or city miles in stop and go traffic?
If highway miles it should be OK!
If city miles forget it!
Ask questions about what it was used for. Like used in oilfield, logging industry, construction, on farm or ranch etc as work truck and crew truck. If answer to any of these is yes walk away. The poor thing has had a rougher life than most main battle tanks.
Was car well maintained? If not forget it.
Does transmission shift smoothly when both cold and hot? If there is a change in way it shifts possible transmission problems can be expensive to repair or rebuild especially if it is a newer computer controlled transmission.
Check under hood for any signs of it being in a bad wreck. Marking on fenders etc. Parts gotten from wrecking yards will have marking on them.
Is interior in good shape?
It steering tight i.e. no slop in it?
It is a 4x4 so check under dash to see if it has been in deep water. Then sniff around under the seats for any moldy smells take will tell you the seats have been wet another sign if it being in high water. If so you are going to have continuing trouble with the electrics.
If you are getting a really good deal on it because it is a reconstructed vehicle just remember you might have some insurance issues when it comes to Comp. and Collision with your insurance company.
Also I have seen insurance companies total out cars just because of what it would cost to fix a fender bender because of the price of new body parts and labor. In fact I have gotten so real good deals on reconstructed cars because of that. About all it takes now days for a car to be totalled is for the car to be four to five years old and have close to 100K miles on it. Then something a simple as a fender bender will total it because of the price of new bumpers, intergrated head lights, and fenders along with labor and painting. And there is nothing really hurt on the car.

Depends on how it was used. If they're mostly highway miles, the engine is probably okay. The big question is the transmission. How much longer will it have? In my experience, transmissions go before engines do. I'd try to find out if the transmission fluid was changed regularly, (every 40-50,000 miles). If not, it could be about to go.

always buy the vehicle, not the miles, just cause it may have alot of miles doesn't mean your gonna get something bad, and just cause it has a few miles doesn't mean its worry free, 115K isn't alot, you might look up reviews on the vehicle and research the flaws with that particular make/model an year, and just have a mechanic look it over.

Depends on how well maintained it was. Its at the mileage where anything could go wrong from alternators , water pumps to major items like transmissions and engines. If it was maintained well you can expect to get about 175000 miles out of it before having to do any major repairs.

A Tahoe with 115,000 miles is ready to rock and roll. You can expect another 80,000 good miles out of it easily with regular maint. items.

It depends ENTIRELY on the level of service it received by the previous owner, and the type of driving he did.

Lots of regular service=no problem, go for it!

Lots of service and freeway driven=no problem, go for it! it will last for MANY years!
