Some people tend to get a sort of electric shock when they touch something of metal, like a doorknob, refrigerator...etc. And it is something constant. With rubber shoes on or off, it is the same while it doesn't happen to other people. Can someone please explain this?

This happens because our bodies are a good source of charges, both negative and positive. Our bodies are neutral but have a large supply of charges. So when you touch a metallic substance, the negative charges(electrons) on it move to your body to joing the positive charges you have. Or if the metal is slightly charged, let's say positively, electrons(negative charges) move from your body to the object. Only negative charges(electrons) move, positive charges do not.
Our bodies are like grounding because they are neutral, so charges flow in and out of it, and that's why you get the shock because you feel the flow of the charges(negative ones) through you body, whether in or out, you still feel a shock.

I think it's probably because these people carry an amount of electricity in their bodies more than others but it's temporary. i used to have it. and it still happens from time to time. the body have some kind of static electricity and when you touch a metal object an attraction arises between the charges and you fell shocked

Electric activity in living tissue is a cellular phenomenon, dependent on the cell membrane. The membrane acts like a capacitor, storing energy as electrically charged ions on opposite sides of the membrane. The stored energy is available for rapid utilization and stabilizes the membrane system so that it is not activated by small disturbances.

its the electric charge on the body...no two bodies are the same so they each have a unique charge...some just hold that charge better than others...in which case some people get shocked more than others
