Neither. He's staying close to home in Houston, the AL East has a lot of offensive teams, the red sox dont want to spend much more money, the Yankees aren't going to give Clemens the special treatment the Astros give him, Yankee stadium is a home run paradise and he'll have an ERA of 4.5 there which I'm sure he does not want to end his career on.

This is one of those questions with no real solid answer. I know you left the Astros out of this, but you HAVE to consider them...it's home for him and his son is in the organization. Boston would be a great nostalgic bookend to his career, and they are one of the few teams who would be able to pony up the cash he will command. But that being said...I really think, and hate to admit it, he will go to NY. The Yanks rotation isn't stellar by any stretch, and when that shows after a couple of months Steinbrenner is going to open up the vaults for Clemens. And Roger will make it all about his friend and former NY/HOU teammate Petitie, the love of the fans in NY and all the memories he has from there. But if NY offered 10 million, and Boston offered 20 million you'd know he'd end up at Fenway. However those dollar amounts will be reversed and Roger will be in the Bronx.

But if not there, I bet Houston, then Boston.

As a red sox fan, I say get him, so he can retire as a red sox for the hall of fame where he had the majority of his career wins and K's. We don't need him right now, but who knows by June if our staff will hold up with oldies like Schilling and wakefield, Or Papelbon's shoulder.
Just so the Yankees don't get him! The need a lot more help in the starting rotation

He will not pitch for the Red Sox because he knows they have a much better team than the Yankees this year. Joining the Sox would just be piling on and would be disrespectful to his Yankee fans.
If he plays at all it will be for the Yankees.

I'm really hoping that he retires for good but if he comes back I think the Yankees have the inside track. 16 million dollars for maybe 20 starts is a lot of dough for anyone.

If he is convicted, it will be for actions that took place while he was a Yankee. With any luck, he and Bonds can be tried about the same time and serve their sentences in the same minimum security prison. Remember the Wild Thing in the movie Major League came from the California penal league.

I think it would be fitting to see Clemens in a Red Sox uniform since that is where he started his career.

Assuming he goes anywhere, I'd bet back to the Yankees with Pettite and some old buddies. Thats where he won his rings.
