This is a followup to my previous superbowl mvp question.
How is the MVP chosen? Is it chosen before the end of the game?

Would stay still allow it to be a player from the losing team, if it worked out that way?

The Super Bowl MVP is chosen before games end. Thus Chuck Howley of The Dallas Cowboys won the Super Bowl MVP in Super Bowl V, even though The Cowboys lost to he Colts 16-13 on a last second field goal.
Howley picked off 2 passes and recovered a fumble. No other player on either offense had a good game.

The press and other officials vote.
yeah a losing player can win. If a guy ran for 250 yards on a team that lost 23-20. you would have to consider it.
