There are BIOS settings that will turn the computer on. Examples are Wake on LAN, Keyboard press, or mouse usage... check these settings and I am certain you will find the culprit. (Most likely wake on lan.) If anyone here claims it is a virus, ignore their idiocy as in order for a virus to run, the computer has to be onfirst, thus it cannot turn the computer on!

You might want to check in the BIOS to see if the "wake on lan" (WOL) is set to turn the computer on. Each BIOS is slightly different so I can't tell you exactly where to check but the next time you boot up your system, hit the key to enter the BIOS (might be labeled as "setup"). Often it is the or key. After that, navigate through the settings and verify that the WOL is disabled. Be careful with what you change though if you are not comfortable with the BIOS. You may want to write down parameters incase you have to revert back to a setting.
If this ends up being the problem, you might want to see what is actually requesting for your system to wake up. If you are behind a router/firewall with other systems, one of them may be infected. If you are directly attached to the Internet, consider setting up a router/firewall to protect your system a bit more.

Not shure, but i would turn it off and unplugg it.
It might be a virus that wants it one so it can use your computer as a zombie, such as using it as a file sharing computer for their gains.
