Which would you choose as your very best friend from the two:
Friend 1: Known for 7 years, but you're not talking to them as much as you used to. Also mature and quite serious-natured.
Friend 2: Known for 2 years, hang around with every day, talk a lot via MSN, text, calls etc, playful but can be mature and serious when need be.
which would make the best 'very best friend'?

Best friends isn't a "choice" it just happens. If you dont talk to friend number one very often, you guys may grow appart. However, it may be that the bond the two of you have surpasses the time and distance and that whenever you see them it's the same as always. Friend number two on the other hand sounds like a great friend for you. You guys go out and have fun, etc. That's great. What I'm saying is why do you put so m uch importance on the label you give each one? In the end, you'll know which on is your "best" friend, but it isn't important to decide now. Choosing just to choose will only cause resentment and a loss in depth of relationship. Just enjoy both of the friendships and be happy to have them. Time will tell you which stays around longer.

Well if u have 2 choose #2 but u know u can have 2 best friends.

dear user, it's so complicated to tell you who or which friend to choose from, it's all up to you. But the only thing i can say is out of the two friends which one do you feel more comfortable around are which one out of the two make you laugh or smile. and if the two make you laugh then the next question is which one have more time with you or for you, because you need a friend that do not obtain a calendar to see if they have the time, you need a friend that is free at all time for you and only you when your time comes. just follow your heart, it will answer your question when the time comes.

You know you can always have more then one best friend! But if you really want one truly best friend just sit back and think if you were in a terrible situation which one would come to be by your side and help you out first. If that still doesn't work, imagine both of them in a terribile situation at the same time and they both needed you, then decide which one you would help out first and that one should be your best friend. This method always worked for me! :)

They both can be your best friend. It just sounds like #2 is the one in the moment, because you do everthing together.
I have two best friends the one i've known since 8th grade that lives only a few blocks away and the other I've known since the 2nd grade she live in another state and we hardly talk.

BOTH my q to you is why cant have be friends with both you are aloud to have more then one friend they each give you something the other doesn't and just because one doesn't hang around doesn't mean she doesn't need you as a friend.. i have long distant friends and close to home friends we all have our own life and we call each other and talk.. its a two way street in staying in touch. keep them both, enjoy the friendships and one day you'll be happy you feed each relationship and your life will be full of great memories with each of them....

im a number 2 kinda guy and its better to be like that. hang out have fun when need be, serious when things need to be. having fun makes you live longer and makes you a more fun kinda guy. 7 years, she knows you well and kinda difficult to hang out and kid around if they are always serious. so it depends on your personality, if you are fun, number 2 if you are serious number 1 so good luck

personaly I don't think you have to make that choice ... there your friends why should you make a choice??? you're just gonna hurt the other ones feelings!
but if you really want to chose the best friend should be the won you know the best she is more murture and she knows you better the chance of you getting am unplesent suprise is lower... good luck

I do not choose to single out and put the pressure onto one individual I am friends with, therefore all 8 of us are equal when we go or do anything.

u always want to have friends so iu would single anyone out. like myself i have many super best friends like one of them is right here next to me! so try and have a lot of friends. but if u want a super best friend u wana choose a friend who u can trust or are very close to. ( i would not chose it would make ur other friends mad)
