The Mac OSX is a very solid, well tested operating system that has been around long enough to me mostly clear of bugs. In addition, for at least a couple of years, it has been doing many of the things that Vista is just now "introducing" .

Unless I had a pain fetish, I would not touch Vista with a 10.5 foot pole for at least 6 months.

OS X is a solid os. I wouldn't mess with Vista at this point unless you're masochistic. It's just not ready for prime time.
