Hate the music, hate the lyrics, hate the type of people who listen to it, hate hearing a car driving down my street playing it, hate the fact that my very white 18 year old younger sister thinks it's cool and has started dressing, basically she looks like a whore to me just to fit in with that crowd. But this is just MY view on the subject.

Depends,

If you are talking about modern garbage (the same old, 50 cent, TI, the lils (wayne, kim, etc.) the youngs (joc, jeezy, dro) and the dozens of dirty south bs, yeah, i hate rap.

But old school and underground (Immortal Tecnique, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, tupac, w/e, is on a whole different level.

Rap is a medium (liek TV or the internet). It can eb used to sasy something meaningful or can be a piece of crap.

It represents the biggest loser sub-culture ever known. I see some of those gangstas hanging out some times and they gather in a parking lot and thump their car stereos, getting all pumped up acting like they are gonna kick anyone's butt that walks by and some of them actually think this is what life is about.
