I didn't see the show but this topic worries me everyday about my ten year old son. He's in the 4th grade and weighs about 106 lbs. He's not extremely big but he does have a belly on him. I'm always trying to stop him from eating too much junk and I try slowing him down when he eats. He eats so fast as if someone's going to take it away from him. I worry he's going to be teased a lot. As far as I know it hasn't happened yet but kids can be so mean. They need to create more diet plans and exercise videos for kids. I remember when I was his age I was outside everyday. Of course that was before the video game era. At least they are doing new things with video games that get the kids up off their butts when they're playing , like the WI and Dance Dance Revolution. My son is involved in football and baseball so he does get that activity and hopefully it won't be such a problem when he starts lifting weights for those sports when he's older.

Is this the show that the little boy looks like the Michelin Tire Guy? If it is, well, I think it's sad that kids are getting so obese. The parents are to blame because they are the ones that are feeding the child. And the child is being conditioned into thinking that eating a lot of food is okay. Plus their bodies are highly depending on the massive amount food is being consumed. It's so sad!!!

Funny, I asked this question about 35 minutes ago!
I think this is a form of child abuse through and through. Most of the parents were fat, if not obese, themselves and shame on them for feeding their child all of that crap and not caring that their kid could hardly walk much less breath.
I was happy to see the update with the one little boy that lost all that weight!
It put me in a worse mood then I already was in.

I didn't see the show... but I saw a few teasers for it... and I've seen shows like it before... but my opinion is - Why do you let your kids do that?!?!!? Kids can't make their own decisions - you are causing them to be the kid that everyone makes fun of and will have serious health issues later in life.
If you wouldn't voluntarily give your kid cancer, why would you cause your kid to have something (obesity) that causes more deaths than cancer???

I think parents should have their children taken away for child abuse. Not only are they killing their children for overfeeding then but they're also setting them up for a life of depression.
