ahhh yes the ps3 is under attack, no no no wait, the ps3 is doomed, the ps3 flat out is a failure. Now these are words being spoken by gamers and industry experts alike and now late word last week is that the ps2 a 7 year old concole is out selling the ps3 in japan. Is there any hope for sony. the once dominating x-box 360 faced some serious competition from sony's latest playstation. late night crowders rioted, people actually got shot and scalpers around the world hawked there systems on ebay in the hopes of putting their children through college. but once the holiday madness subsided gamers discovered that the handfull of titles avalible for the ps3 barely held up to titles for the x-box 360. stores once unable to keep units on their shelves found themselves unable to move their latest shipments. while gamers lamented the lack of games and the need to make the jump to blue-ray. is the ps3 doomed and could such a momumental failure take down not only the blue-ray formant but sony to?

Okay, I'm not going to claim to be a video game expert, but this is my opinion.
Sony made WAY to big a fuss over this stupid thing, they created all this hype for a product that really could never live up to it.
What's different from the PS2 to the PS3? Blue Ray and maybe the graphics are a little better? That's lame. Who buys a video game system to watch movies anyways? And that was the special thing about it? What a joke! If I really want to watch blue ray movies, don't you think I would blue ray disc player not a video game? Also, the games out are very limited and not that good.
I think Nintendo definitely has Sony beat this year with the Wii. Although it doesn't play dvds, blue ray, or have great graphics, it has interactivity which is something totally new for video games.
Okay, sorry that was long..... :-)

I wouldn't say that the PS3's "failure" would be enough to take down Sony. They were around long before they started making video game consoles. TVs, stereos, computers, the Walk-Man...they make great products and will certainly survive.

As for the PS3 being a failure - I have no idea. I haven't played it or know anyone that has one. X-Box 360 has been out for awhile, so of course it will have more games.

I think Nintendo was smart to change the direction of the gaming world. I haven't played the Wii either, so I can't attest to it's quality. But I like that instead of essentially building a bigger stronger computer, they innovated a new way to play. I hope that it sparks a new line of video games for the future.

damnit why dont u purely google it PS3 failure expenditures are "round 0.02 p.c." in accordance to a Sony authorities. i dont understand the "wont examine disk nomore" failure yet imagine its on the fringe of the perfect failure and u cant ward off it. u extremely decide on to quiet down ps3 failing hardly takes position. ur appearing like u have an xbox 360

it's really a matter of opinion really, personally I have never played X-box 360 but i have played PSP and PS2 and I have to say both were pretty good! I mean PS3 is quite expensive and many people say that they definitely wouldn't waste their money on it. My friend bought one and he really loves it! So once again...its a matter of opinion.

possibly - the high price tag and lack of games have made it a slow start.
on the other hand, Wii has already sold 4 mill - half of XBox360's TOTAL sales. Impressive. PS3 is in third and is under pressure to catch up.

My husband has his PS3 and so far i have no complaints. I bought him a TV that was 1080 I (don't ask me to explain it, i was just told i need that) and it is hooked up to our wireless, and his PSP. Now admittedly my husband and i aren't "gamers" but we enjoy ours. and so far see no reason why it would be a failure. exspecially since the computer inside it, if better than most computers (with out designing them your self ) that is being sold today.

i believe that the ps3 is the worst system out by SONY..........i work at best buy so i would know....we got our ps3 demo i believe 2 weeks before the system was to hit stores...well none of us got a chance to play the darn thing, including customers, because it blew out 2 days later! why u say?? because we left it on for 13 hours! LOL wow....... i know ppl who leave their games on for longer than that and their other systems dont go retarded like that!.........

not to mention the huge i mean HUGE returns we received on this system!!! ppl were returning them left and right, and then began asking for the nintendo wii (which by the way is thee best system to me, i have it) ...we were all shocked...and couldnt believe that sony would put out such an awful system...its just going to end up like the sony echo and that sega dreamcast...

sony can eventually bounce back in sales....maybe this summer when the psp2 drops in stores.....

the blue ray is selling by itself, and doing quite well....eventhough its going for one thousand dollars:)
