Doing meth was a very bad choice and obviously everyone here wants you to know that.
I am glad that you are not doing drugs anymore.
There is no way of telling if your baby was effected from the drug use. It will not do you any good to worry and stress over things at this point. It is better for you, and your baby to just relax and try to forget about the mistake you made.
Keep yourself as healthy as possible.
Eat good healthy foods, take your pre-natal pills and drink lots of water.
You can't change what you did, but you can try to keep your baby as healthy as possible now.
You will not get your baby taken away from you unless you do drugs again.

The first 12 weeks are crucial in your baby's development. There is a good chance that any drugs you did in that period could harm the baby. However, there's nothing you can do about it now except not do meth again (or any drugs). Even if you didn't know you were pregnant, it was still a bad idea.
Make sure to quit any drugs/alcohol/smoking, for your health and that of the baby. See your doctor on a regular basis, and don't be afraid to mention this to him/her. Your doctor can give you much better advice on what the effects of meth can be on your baby.
As far as having your baby taken away, I don't know. I've heard that if they believe you have been using drugs, they can drug test the baby at the hospital (and take it away if it tests positive). I'm not sure how true that is. If you continue to do drugs after the baby is born, you will eventually get caught and the baby will be taken away. You sound genuinely concerned about your child, so please make sure to take care of yourself and your baby. I have no patience or sympathy for people who try to raise children in drug-filled environments. If you find yourself unable to properly care for a child, there are thousands of couples looking to adopt. Good luck and please see your doctor right away.

Chances are there will be nothing wrong with you baby but I guess it depends on how much you did and if it was only once while you were pregnant. Be honest with your physician, they will not take the baby away unless you test positive for drugs when you have the baby. Your physician will most likely order a level 2 ultrasound.....you are always better safe than sorry!
Stay far far away from meth!

Well I was a meth user and did dope around the time i conceived and when i was about 8 weeks or a little over. My baby is fine now. I had a healthy baby girl. Just dont do it anymore. I told my doctor that i had used but they wont do nothing. But if u do tell ur doctor someone will come to talk to u after u have ur baby. But no ur baby wont be taken from u unless u do it again and the baby test positive. Just dont do it again. That baby is so precious. Good Luck

Yes, this can cause severe birth defects especially in the first 6 weeks. This is the time when all systems including the heart are developing. You need to tell your doctor so they can monitor your baby for problems. They will not take your baby away as long as you do not continue to use; if you do continue to use while pregnant, you should have your baby taken away. The safest thing for your child right now is good pre-natal care.

well it might i had a friend who did meth and it didn't do anything to the kid,in fact the kid is actually really cute!!!! but on the other hand i had another friend who did meth, and the kid turned out ok,but she did have a little thing wrong with her.
i think that it all just depends on how much meth you did and for how long you were in the room with it.
if you just did it one time i don't think it will effect your baby.
i would get an ultrasound like every once and a while just to be on the safe side of thing if i were you.and don't do you don't do it again.

you should be okay. just imagine all the women in the world who dont even know that there pregnant and do drugs up to like 5 months... i know many of people who where doing drugs and did not even know they were pregnant for months. just dont do any more drugs or you will have to worry about your baby having health problems but if you only did it once im sure you will be fine. and no they will not take your baby away UNLESS the baby comes out with drug addiction promlems then they will run a bunch of tests and so on..and probably suggest you get help, but the drug should be out of you system now. but stay clean for you and your baby's sake. good luck and hope this helped.

First of all no they will not take the baby away you only did itonce and surely you are not dumb enough to do it again now that you know you are going to be a mum.
Secondly it is probable that your baby was not harmed at all, there is a small chance it could have affected her organs in some way but it is a very very small cahnce and stressing about it is not going to help.
Congratulations by the way!

probably not, i smoked weed before i found out i was pregnant with my son then quit when i found out and he is a perfectly normal 7 year old boy.
this time around, i was pregnant on my b-day and didn't know yet and got really drunk, the dr said it's okay just don't do it again. i had an ultrasound last month and my new daughter is also showing perfectly healthy.
don't stress your self hun, everything will most likely be okay, just ask your dr what he thinks and no they cannot take your baby, you didn't know you were pregnant at the time, just don't do it again and i wouldn't go around saying you had done meth either.
good luck

they most likely won't take it away but it may have caused the baby some harm which you may not know until later in the pregnancy or until it is born. i hope not but it is a possibility. this is just another great reason why people should not do these kinds of things. glad to hear that you have not done it since. that makes you smarter than some people. good luck.
