First, find out what you paid for it and determine what condition it is in. If it is in good condition, then you should be able to get more for it.

One of the secrets to negotiation is to never, never name a price first. Ask the pawn shop how much they would give you for it. Once you get their initial price, ask for a bit higher, and start the negotiating that way.

you have no choice
they will offer you a price for it.
It will be nothing, then they will charge you a fortune to get it back.
Don't kid yourself you're ever getting it back, your not.

You might as well flog it properly on eBay and get a decent price for it
