A current mayor, movie and sports and recording stars, people by the 100's daily have drinking issues. So, do you drink? Whatever for?

Let me say that is good that someone make conscious of this social problem keep your self in that track is good, for my self I will say truly I drink occasional, socially isn't a bad thing though I have been lucky in my youth because my first taste of wine was while I was two weeks old, although in my Country where I born it has become customary to give small children's a taste of wine as well their own little Glass which they fill with wine for him/her to drink with their meals only as well that they are very specific and firm to say to then that what they are drinking isn't for then but for the food. Don't ever use drinking to become something you aren't, or to impress, or to enjoy longer time with your friends while you are trying to avoid some of your responsibilities, with your family or with other groups that will appeared to be boring.

If I drank, I might have gotten over some social anxieties a long time ago.
So, I'm a puritan, practically, clean as a whistle, and don't get out very much.
Choose your poison. Abstinence can hurt worse.
But I'm still very proud, and not at all scared about what stupid consequences I could suffer.
I'd rather find the sober courage to fight off fear when and how I can!
While having compassion for those who choose otherwise.

I drink because I like the taste of alcohol, and a little stress relief is always nice. Not everybody that drinks has a problem with it.

Yes I drink. What for? It tastes good. And as often as I drink and as long as it's been legal for me to, I have yet to attack Judaism and the Jews.
The people blaming alcoholism for their anti-semitism, their homosexuality and their infidelity are just looking for an excuse. It looks better checking into rehab than admitting anti-semitism or adultery.
