I didn't realize that Christianity was a religion for the left or the right. I always thought it was for the people that hold the teachings of God, Jesus, and others in the highest esteem. You sound more like an Atheist, than Agnostic. I wouldn't be to quick to discount the teachings that so many around the world have chosen to follow.
But I guess you are entitled to your opinion, as misguided as I find it to be. Whats wrong with seeking a better place to live?

Considering your theory.. .. . . . . . If we're right.. . you're in eternal trouble . If you're right.. . nothing happens .
But your theory is ridiculous anyway . And what's the point of bashing Christians ? We've done NOTHING to you !!!
So, tough guy, do you go around bashing Muslims too ? How about Hindus or Buddhists ? NOT !!! So what's your infatuation for Christians ? Would you like to learn, but are too afraid to ask ?
EDIT* - I read your short profile . short yes, but telling .. . . oh yes . I now understand where you are coming from . My guess ? You are a Conservative and an atheist or agnostic . Your attempt to envision liberals with Christianity is the result of you wanting to show how stupid Liberals are and Christians are . You won't accept the truth that most CONSERVATIVES are Christians, because that would mean that you AGREE with Christians on their political views, and you'll have none of that . Be honest and give me 10 points if I'm even close !!!

I do not consider Christianity to be the religion of the left. At least not in our times. Secular Humanism is the religion of the left, these days.
When you see liberals exemplifying any of the "love thy neighbor," or "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you," stuff, let me know.
All I see is Christian bashing from the left. Tolerance for every religion but Christianity.
Oh, and nowhere is there a requirement that Conservatives are Christians. Just happens that conservatism is the politics of many Christians, not necessarily the other way around.

Where in the Bible does it say. Love they enemy countries?
It does not say rule the eartj. It says inherit the earth. In other words they will own the earth in the end. Many of the Muslums are left wingers. Most of my Christian friends are right wing.

The critical point you miss is that the Christian teachings are meant for individuals, not a prescription for government intervention. The leftist approach is for individuals to pay taxes and expect government to take care of the poor and infirm.

The "left" supports murdering unborn children and stealing from the haves to give to the have-nots. These are not Christian values.
Don't get me wrong, the "right" has plenty of issues they support that are not Christian values either. But it is ridiculous to say that any one that supports murdering children is Christian.

It's called selective Christianity. They embrace the fire-and-brimstone brand of Christianity, while most liberal Christians believe in a loving, accepting, embracing, forgiving God.
