I don't have a tight pelvis, but I have been induced once. Unfortunately, things did not go well and I ended up with a section. There is an increased chance of sections with inductions but you could also deliver vaginally. If you have a small pelvis, there is a good chance of ending up with a section. After 40 weeks there are things that can go wrong so that is why your doc is suggesting induction. Try not to worry although I know that is hard. I was scared to death when I heard induction, but you only want a healthy baby, whether delivered vaginally or by c-section. best of luck.

I have four children. Induced every time! It's better than not knowing when it is going to be time to rush to the hospital and praying that nothing unexpected happens on the way. When induced atleast you are prepared, nurses are at your side, and you for sure get the pain i.v's.Congradulations and good luck.

There is something I dont understand. If the doctor said you have a tight pelvis and said you would have trouble giving vaginal birth, WHY would he want to induse. If there is going to be problems then why not a c- section?

I was induced when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was almost a week over due. I ended up having a c-section because I stopped dilating.

If this is your first, and pitocin is the choice inducer, get ready for strong contractions. My first pregnancy was induced and all turned out well. And the contractions********* OMG******** i rubbed my heels raw from rubbing them on the bed in pain.
I didn't mean to scare you , not all women have strong and painful contractions. My second wasn't that bad and the contractions weren't too bad.
It should be safe, please talk with your MD about any concerns that you may be having.
Congratulations and warmest welcome for your little one who will be here before you know it.

you will possibly desire to attempt all the conventional issues like doing an outstanding sort of strolling. unquestionably it definitely relies upon on what your lil one needs to do. i grew to become into precipitated on my due date (in basic terms bc i had to have MY rfile deliever the newborn and he or she grew to become into in basic terms gonne be able to do it on 2 days so I had to p.c.. one) and it sucked balls. i grew to become into in exertions for 13 hours and ended up with a C-section bc I in no way have been given previous a "4." I went in not dialated and not effaced... he hadnt somewhat dropped yet (I dont think of). some women individuals's bodies do nicely with exertions and a few dont. Softening your cervix by intercourse isnt only a thank you to do it. they provide you meds the night before you're precipitated to assist soften you to boot. in case you will possibly desire to get precipitated. Congrats on your lil one.

I WAS INDUCED WITH MY FIRST TWO. NOTHING TO IT. I HAD THEM BOTH IN FOUR HOURS. YOU WILL BE FINE!!! I HAD HEARD THAT IT WAS WORSE BUT, IT IS NOT. I HAD MY THRID ONE NATURAL & I HAD HER IN ONE HOUR. I REALLY THINK THAT HURT WORSE BECAUSE YOUR BODY DOES NOT HAVE TIME TO PERPARE FOR IT.
GOOD LUCK...YOU WILL BE FINE!!! JUST THINK YOU WILL HAVE A LITTLE ANGLE IN YOUR ARM IN NO-TIME!!!!
WISH YOU THE BEST WITH YOUR NEW BABY!!!
