get the little © for copyright without having to copy/paste it?
I need to use it for something, but can't use the copy/paste function, it won't allow it.

The previous answers are right, BUT they are wrong too!

Hold down ALT key, type 0169 ON THE NUMBER PAD, release Alt.

If you use the normal numbers at the top of the keyboard, it won't work. If you don't have "num lock" selected, it won't work either.

Alt+0169

This should work in almost any program, even Notepad.

If you are using Windows, you can find these special characters in the Character Map. You can find the Character Map by going to Start -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map.

In most versions of Word that I have the auto correct defaults to copyright symbol if you type ' ( c ) ' followed by the space. In my line of work it gets annoying trying to stop it appearing automatically!

If its for a website, you'll want to edit the html coding as "&code;" without the quotation marks. don't forget the semi-colon at the end. I hope this helps

CTRL+ALT+C does it in Word, but if the program you are trying to paste it into ,does not support it, then I guess you are out of luck.
