When I hear the name Riley I think of my friends son. But before he had him and named him Riley i always thought of a girl. It's one of those names that could be unisex.

Actually I think it's more of a both name. When I here Riley, I think of a guy. But I also think that Riley would make THE perfect girl. I like this spelling for a girl though: "Rhylee" I don't know why, but I do. I guess it seems more feminine.

Now days it is more of a girl name but if you were to tell me your child's name was Riley I would still ask "boy or girl?"

I know both a girl and boy named Riley. But I like the spelling Rileigh for a girl. It makes it more feminine.

There was a young man in the movie "National Treasure" named "Riley". It's a boy or girls name.

I take Riley to be a boy's name but Rylee, or Ryleigh to be a girls name. I think it used to be more of a boys name but now it's shifting towards more of a girl name.

My hubbby and i just had this argument. I wanted to name our baby riley if it was a boy and he said that it was a girls name. And we do have a friend that named there daughter that. I think that it is on of those names that can go both ways.
