Open your recycle bin. Look through that you will find files (that is if you have deleted any). When you find the file you want to restore. Right click on it and click the restore button. That should restore the file. To find it open the program that it was from. EXAMPLE: Say you delete a word document file and you restore it. It should be saved in word.
Hope this helps!

Hopefully you have an NTFS file system, as this has the best journaling system of all Windows file systems. You can probably do a google.com search that would reveal a free undelete tool. You would just need to know the name of the file. This file may be in your recycle bin still, unless it was deleted from there. Alternately, you'd have to buy recovery software which can be kind of pricey, but the file can be retrieved.

If it's in the recycle bin u can restore it but if u installed a program like TuneUp 2007 u can use it to restore the data.
Try going to Download.com and searching for a data restorer

Recover My Files data recovery software will quickly and easily recover deleted files emptied from the Windows Recycle Bin, or lost due to the format or corruption of a hard drive, virus or trojan infection, unexpected system shutdown or software failure.

One of the best software for recover what you deleted is GetDataBack from Runtime and there is for NTFS and for FAT32 too. I use it even for recover deleted documents from a hard-disk on USB.
