all of the doctors and websites go by the 40 week schedule. It starts on the first day of your last period. It is not by the last day of your period, but FIRST!!! So you may be further along than that (but only by a few days).

If you go to babycenter.com they will have you put in the first day of your last period. This is where they start counting from. From that there is actually what they count as 40 weeks of pregnancy. Being you are not pregnant when you have your period but usually about 2 weeks later that is why some people say 38 weeks of pregnancy. babycenter.com is cool because they give you week by week updates for the week you're at. Good luck.

It's judged by the first day of your last menstal period. You may be 12 weeks along , but baby is only 10 weeks....however when you look on the sites you do check at 12.

Well, it's sort of complicated. While you logistically conceived two weeks after your last period, OBGYNs count your pregnancy in weeks starting from the first day of your last period (a total of 40 weeks from the first day of your last period gives you your due date). So two weeks will be added on to the actual date of conception.
Hope this helps.

the docs consistently take the 1st day of your final era as much as now your being pregnant and you often launch an egg 14 days into your cycle (on a common 28 day cycle) So technically you arent pregnant in those first 2 weeks meaning that even nevertheless you're classed as 12 weeks 6 days alongside your infant in basic terms began to strengthen 10 weeks 6 days in the past. of course, its not consistently a super theory as much as now your being pregnant this way, surprisingly in case you have an peculiar cycle and don't be attentive to while ovulation got here approximately. In those circumstances an early ultrasound is ultimate to get a extra precise theory of ways a good distance alongside you're. desire this facilitates!

You are technically 12 weeks pregnant, but since the baby was conceived two weeks after your LMP it is only 10 weeks old.

Don't worry too much about it.
When you get your ultrasound they'll be able to figure out
how far along you are by what they see.
After my first baby we loved the idea of having a second baby for our first one to have a brother or sister but its not like we set up a date or anything like that for it to happen. Turned out we were having another but unfortunatly I misscarried at 5mths.
After that, we didn't plan on having anymore children for a very long time(because I was too saddened) I got so caught up in taking care of our first one and when ever she'd nap in the day and sleep at night I'd cry more over the misscarriage, so we hadn't realized that I'd become pregnant again(I was very happy about that when we found out even though we said we'd plan on waiting years before trying again for another little angel). We found out when I went in for a regular health check up, so it was an unexpected happy surprise, but I didn't know how many weeks I was so eventually they were able to determine how far along I was through ultrasound.

Girl, don't even do that to your pregnant brain! Count from the FIRST DAY of your last period. That's how it works. That's the only way that works, ok? Ok!
If the first day of your last period was for instance December 8th, then enter that into this calculator:
