Has anyone read the book "Empire" by Orson Scott Card?

This is the scariest book I have ever read. Another scary one is "Against All Enemies" by Harold Coyle. If you read these books you will see what I mean.

I haven't read Empire yet. I hadn't even heard of it until I saw your question, but I just Googled it and it looks terrific.

I used to be a HUGE Orson Scott Card fan, but the never ending Ender's Shadow series put me off him a bit.

It's great to see him return with an original story. Can't wait to read it!
