Does anyone really care? He's just another person. Him coming out to me is no different than any man coming out. I don't care and I don't think that anyone should. I don't even know why he mentioned it.

Plus, he's not even that great of a player so a week from now everyone will have forgotten about this.

The responses to this question quite run the gamut. remarkable that an ex-NBA basketball participant "popping out" may be newsworthy. i comprehend that his determination to "c.o." ought to were one which he concept via thoroughly; for interior the GLBT-phobic international we stay in, that's something now to not be taken gently. i imagine he has each acceptable to "pop out". usually, he's nicely conscious of the pros and cons, even if one out weighs one to a special. i do not comprehend John Amaechi, yet i trust that someone as proficient, intellectually proficient, and politically minded as John has far extra to modern-day to this international than his sportsmanship. there is little question in each person's eye that "popping out" will proceed in professional athletics. perchance in some unspecified time sooner or later, likely far interior the destiny, it quite received't count. even as it contains John Amaechi, what he does with his "c.o." and the superb way he conducts himself as a public make sure and position variety should be the element to observe. allow's toast John: that's to believing in his potential to stay gracefully and graciously in a unfavorable international. Congratulations on your determination to "pop out".

i was preety shocked, but it doesen't matter because he was not even a great player, he averaged about 6.2 points per game, if lebron james announces that, then every basketball fan will get a big shock. like one of your answerers said, they are going to forget about it in a week, he really didn't need to give an interview about it

I'm not sure what the big deal is. I like sports players for their ability to play and for being a good person... who they go to bed with (unless it is non-consensual) does not matter at all to me.
