have you bothered listening to him or you just making assumptions? The man is presidential material through and through and will do everything to protect and help America if elected. Hillary is the "HYPE" and would hurt more than help..just listen to her .
That being said, I'm not sure he is who I will vote for in 08. Depends on all the other REPs running.

Rudy has grandeur hopes. Nothing should stop him for hoping to be elected and try for it. However there is a difference between someone to be into politics and someone who happens to be in a place and time of dire emergency.
The fact that he has been the face of NYC during the 9-11 tragedy has gone a little to his head. He is a great figure, no denying, and he should probably pursue a career in politics but there a huge leap between that and becoming the next president of the USA, the way republicans and bush supporters are seen now.
Being a very smart man and having strong and/or political opinions doesn't mean that he is suited for the job. He should rather try and earn a seat in the political representations, or be a governor or political advisor or analyst. Why not even be tabbed as an Amabassador.
But leave the Presidency to someone who trully can carry it on his shoulders.
Clinton ? I doubt she will be elected simply because this is a mysogyn country where the thinkin heads are not ready to let a woman rule. Unfortunately because women have a lot to say, a lot to teach and a lot to prove and we can see daily in companies who are smart enough to see beyond gender to hire Leaders amongst females. But in politics, there is a very long way still to feel secure enough and let a woman be a president.
Barack is a newbie, who shot out of nowhere in the political scene, as a general recognized name. He probably hasa lot of good things to say and will run as far as the last minute .... but are americans honestly and sincerely, deep down in their heart willing or ready to finally accept an African American to be their president? The USA are not secure enough yet to allow that to happen unfortunately.

I think he is a very capable man, probably the best that has shown interest so far. And fortunately, it appears that so far 42% of the US agrees with me while only, at most, 12% support any of the other possible candidates.
As for what any mayor would have done, he certainly outperformed Nagin of New Orleans who ran as soon as a real problem occurred.

I will definitely vote for Rudy, the native New Yorker who kept
the city safe and sound for years......as a D.A. , a Mayor
and will keep the US of A safe also......and he is a Republican
I also like Mr. Obama, who cares if he is black....what difference
does that make he is bright, CLEAN CUT, and we should here
what he has to say.....
Clinton who?
