How come after the Rep. Admin. failure in Iraq, they can use as scare tactic that failure in Iraq would be devastating for our nation?

Devastating to our nation is what they created and want to continue. How much worst can it be?
What is the goal in Iraq? If they think assimilation is the goal can you imagine how long that war would be. They must be drinking moonshine if they think Iraqis will be assimilated.
THE GOAL WAS SADDAM AND WMDs, NONE OF IT PRESENT IN IRAQ NOW. CALL THAT A WIN AND BRING EVERYBODY BACK HOME. IF A PROBLEM COMES AS A RESULT THEN WE WILL DEAL WITH IT.

Beacuse this administration uses doublespeak amazingly well.

Personally, I thnk Iraq is already a failure and we should leave. I see no evidence that our presence is making things "better". Therefore, every American casualty has been a horrible waste. I know how bad that sounds. I lay the blame squarely on the shoulders of the lying neocons that got us into this fiasco.

What do you mean after? It is not over, how can you determine it has failed? Failure in Iraq would be devastating to our nation, how wouldn't it be?

Iraqis are being assimilated, some of them have new freedoms and ways of life and hopefully it will keep getting better. How do you know what the goals of the war are? You obviously don't understand a lot about it. You can't call an unfinished job a win just because you don't like war or the president. If we leave now, we'll be back soon dealing with the aftermath of our failure.

Just to scare people. Failure in Iraq would be the same as failure in Vietnam. We leave and they sort it out on their own.
