I had really really bad headaches in my first/second trimester. They were so bad i went to the doc and he said they weren't headaches any longer, they were "pregnancy migraines". Are you sure you are experiencing just headaches? Maybe you should go talk to your doc just to be sure.
My doc gave me a prescription for some medication that would relieve the migraines and that was safe for baby, however i am a worrier so i chose to not get the prescription filled "just in case".
Instead i would lie down in a dark quiet room for half an hour when i could feel them coming on (and yes that is hard when working full-time but i thought it better than medication, for me personally) - that generally helped me get rid of them (or atleast keep it to a dull ache).
In the second part of my second trimester they went away and i haven't had one since.
30wks pregnant now and no headache or migraine in sight!
Good luck!

Well Amanda, Tylonol didnt help me either. I tried every pill they told me try without putting the child in harms way. Nothing worked. I dont know if you are willing to try something they tell you not to take while carring a child or even know the medicine I'm about to tell you. The one thing I took, and both my children are fine and healthy, is a BC with mountain dew and wait about 10 min. For me I have migraines since i was 7 and now I'm 21 the only 2 things that work for me is a, BC, or a Pain pill. But dont over do it.

It sounds silly, but just try sleeping, I suffered from headaches while pregnant and Tylenol did nothing what helped most was when I could get extra sleep.

My wife just gave birth 6 days ago and she had headaches during her pregnancy. She tried all kinds of things but nothing seemed to work. She went to see a Chiropractor and within like two visits her headaches were gone. She didn't have them at all the rest of her pregnancy. Just an idea, it worked for her give it a shot.

Talk to your doc and let him/her know that you have tried Tylenol and it is no relieving the pain. Tylenol is supposedly the only thing you can take when pregnant, but is also categorized as a list b med...so is everything else. I had to tough them out with my last pregnancy.
Good luck.

Take an ice cube and rub it in the area between your pointer finger and thumb. It's a pressure point that is supposed to get rid of headaches. Also, try to lay down with your feet slightly elevated(on a pillow). This might help too. Good luck

Have you tried "Head On"? You rub it on your forehead and it helps relieve headache pain...I use it all the time. My doctor said it was safe to use during my pregnancy.

really there is nothing else you can take. ibuprofen and naproxen(aleive) are out of th question while pregnant. just try to get enough rest, stay away from stress , and see if your doctor has a remedy for it that is safe for you and baby

i would ask your Dr for something-- i am sure there is something they can give you-- just don't do anything until you talk to them. i am in the same boat as you, but I'm used to them now.. sometimes its lack of caffeine, allergies, stress, etc. Just relax, take a bath, and talk to you Dr.
