When I was younger, I did not think too much about whether he was gay or not. I just knew that he was a good looking guy who could sing and cool enough that he sanged a duet with Aretha Franklin ("Knew You Were Waiting For Me"). But, as I gotten older and knew what "gay" was, I still did not care. At least he came out and said that he was gay and not try to hide the fact that he is not.

In his early years it wasn't too obvious, but as the years passed it was definitely obvious. I wasn't surprised at all.

I can't say I was suprised....but I'm not sure it was always that incredible obvious either....
One of the big give aways was that he was hugely popular with the ladies yet....we never really saw him with any for a number of years.....

Yes, but that's because I was a really young girl when he was shakin' it, and I really didn't want to believe that we ladies lost another sensitive ponytail voice to the other side.
