I assume you are running Windows 98 or XP. If so, simply use Media Player to Rip your CDs. Don't use iTunes, as the sample rate for WMP can be set much higher and so the quality is much better. You can always re-import your audio into any other software for your chosen player. If you use iTunes, it is harder to export to Non Apple products.
I use WMP and iTunes in this way for my iPod now, but have been using WMP for many years to Rip CDs for playback through my stereo and MP3 CDs in the car.

surprisingly lots you will want a CD burner & application to do covert the MP3's right into a CD participant-usable uncooked audio format. CD burner application (like Deepburner, unfastened hassle-free CD burning application, see source checklist) could make audio CD's by permitting you to collect a catalogue of MP3's to run on it. lower back, be sure you decide on "Create Audio CD" alongside with your CD burning application to right convert your MP3's into CD-Audio. Audio CD's use the size of the songs quite of the size to administration the quantity you are able to keep. maximum CD's keep seventy 4 minutes of music & many times incorporate 2 seconds of "ineffective air" consistent with song.

The easiest way is to download the free Real Player. www.real.com They have a purchased upgrade version too, but there really isn't a need for it. I'm a DJ and I use it to ripp all my cd's. It's very easy.
