Well you all have interesting points but unfortunately they are all pretty ignorant. I can't really say whether blacks may have larger numbers, I don't know since I haven't seen any data. But if you are referring to black poverty vs. that of immigrant populations you are comparing apples and oranges.

Asians and 'Hispanics' have a different history in this country than Black Americans. Black Americans have been a repressed, to put it mildly, group from the time they were introduced to this country through slavery. As the years have gone by yes black people have intergrated into society and as far as the law goes are recognized as equals. However there are still many mechanisms in place within American society, ex. discrimination which still exists, and black American culture, such as breakdown of the family as previously mentioned, that help to maintain the poverty you are referring to.

Hispanics and Asians are immigrant populations who more or less began immigrating to the established US in large numbers during more recent times - especially after the Civil Rights movement which helped create an environment more open to inclusion of these new minorities in American society.

In other words these other groups had a sort of 'fresh start' in this country as immigrants whereas the Black community has a lot of baggage as well previously established negative attitudes and views towards them that acted as barriers. Immigrant groups may not have faced these on such a large and deep-rooted scale because of the history, struggle and progress (ex. Civil Rights movement) Black Americans made in this country.
In other words Black Americans were at a disadvantage from the beginning of their existence in this country and are still overcoming the mechanisms of that, where as immigrants are coming into a different more inclusive society.

(Please do not misinterpret this to mean I am discounting difficulties other groups have had in the US in terms of racism and prejudice. Blacks just have a longer history of this in the established US.)

A lot of these issues have to do with history which is why it is so important to study the past, to understand why the present is the way it is.

Who knows? But the poverty rate b/t hispanics and blacks is about the same.

Perhaps a lot of the Asian population is foreign-born and moved to the US. You have to have a certain amount of money to do that, as it's pretty tough to come to the US illegally from Asia.

For Hispanics, more of them probably come here illegally, which is relatively easy to do (from Mexico, at least).

Let's blame everything on slavery. Slavery in Africa has been around for over 800 years. And it still goes on today. It's so easy for blacks in America to blame everything on whitey. A real man blames no one except himself.

Asians and hispanics send every spare cent they have back to their families still living in the their homelands. Blacks spend every spare cent on, well, themselves. Why are all of those people starving in Africa when "African" Americans are walking around with all the bling-bling and driving fancy cars? I don't see Puffy or JayZ or Ms. Jackson feeding or adopting any poor orphans in Africa. But they sure have fiiiiiiine jewelry and pretty clothes and designer glasses, don't they?

That's easy to answer. Total lack of morality. The females give birth at 13, run to the welfare office, drop out of school and enter the world uneducated, with child, on welfare. 70% of *****'s are born out of wedlock. Chances are the buck that sired the sow is no where to be found. The American ***** will soon be serving the African since the African immigrants are now surpassing our stock. because maximum Asians who're able to come back to united statesa. are already nicely off or extremely not uncomplicated workers. maximum undesirable human beings from Asia do not have the money to come back to united statesa.. in the experience that they are undesirable, yet got here to the US, they are extremely not uncomplicated workers, even as the lazy ones stay in Asia. nevertheless, maximum folk who come listed right here are nicely off. on the different hand, the Hispanic and Black inhabitants is extra diverse from wealthy to undesirable, from hardworking to lazy. that's not that Asians can do it, although that's in basic terms the Asians who do it are coming to united statesa., even as the asians who won't be able to are back in Asia. in case you quite seem at it quite and seem in any respect Asians international huge, that's little question that maximum Asians are undesirable and uneducated. also, in case you seem at Cambodians, they are in basic terms as undesirable and uneducated than blacks? is that true? I doubt it. If it is, is it correlated against population? - ask them for percentages and assume an accuracy of plus|minus 10% to the numbers. If they are significant after all of that then it could be cultural in some subcultures, but DON'T jump to any conclusions.
