I met a 38 y.o. Portuguese man recently who had been married twice. He came on strong at first but has cooled considerably since we first met 2 weeks ago.

Define womanizer -- if you mean he thinks he is a gift to all women, then many of your Latino & Mediterranean men would fit into this category. Sometimes they are like a gag gift -- looks good on the outside, but inside is empty. They love to flirt with beautiful women and women love to flirt with them.

I am Portuguese and I would say that I am not a womanizer. I hate to be modest, but women tend to feel surprised when I tell them I am Portuguese but it is the type of man that will take it to the next level. If you have a womanizer, It is not because he is Portuguese. It is the way he is..

Not necesarilly. THat is just a really bad rumor/stereotype. Of course you have to think that most men are womanizers at heart due to years of history. Some just don't show it as much.

all i know is that a lot of the brazilian portugese men at my restaurant are - but there is one who is great and faithful to a fault! so some are - but not all! i think it's more about men in general having a tendancy to stray, then any one specific culture.

If you state that "all" of any group is one way you are stereotyping. No I don't believe that about all rich and powerful men.

I personally think it is a person to person issue. I don't think 'womanizing' has anything to do with nationality.
