Maybe not roses, but If you like her - YES!! Anything that makes her feel special no matter how long you have known her will make her see you in a special way.
Try a less stereotyped (for love) flower.

It really depends on what you mean by "just start talking". To some people that means you haven't gone out on a date at all and in that case maybe a rose or two would be all I would do so you're not being too forward. If you've been going out for a few weeks, but its not exclusive I would stick to a rose and a small bear or something that's not overly romantic. A dozen roses is a lot of money also around V-day.

Your so thoughtful! I suggest just getting a bouquet of assorted flowers. Roses are more about love. Any girl would love to recieve something for Valentines Day even if it's just a little thing.

Probably a little too soon for flowers; anyway they're so cliche. My husband knows better than to spend good money on flowers for me; ever! Get a card and write a nice note; maybe candy. Or make something original; that would really make an impression to make the effort to make something; it doesn't have to be a big deal.

well, if you like her a lot I think this is the perfect time to show it, with a chocolate or roses ( one or two).. If I were the girl and got nothing for Valentine's day then I would think the guy doesnt care or like me at all!

if you really like her, you can get her some roses, but NOT RED ONES... that means you love her. Telling a girl you love her when you have just started talking to her, is a good way to freak her out. Get her some yellow ones,,, that means friendship. or get her some other kind of flowers.

might just be a nice gesture, after all it is valentines day, and every girl likes to feel special on valentines day, get her yellow roses..means friendship..unless u perfer the uncanny usual red rose...passion right there..or a small box of chocolates.

I say give her 1 rose only or a small teddy bear since you're begining,girls like to get presents but they don't like to feel obligated to pay back or that things are moving too fast,as you talk with her pay attention to her feelings towards you.

Definitely! Girls love getting flowers, but don't be too showy about it. Only get a single rose, not a whole bunch, to show you care.

What about trying a small to medium stuffed puppy to be peering out of a gift bag? It represents 'puppy love' or.. the hopes of the beginning of something more without possibly 'weirding her out'! Underneath the puppy to weight the bag you can put a small box of chocolates.
