Congrats! I am also 12 weeks pregnant. I went to my OB yesterday and I asked her that same question and she said by feeling where my uterus was that by 5 more weeks I will be coming in her office with some comfy clothes because I will be showing. I am 5'8" and I weighed in at 150 yesterday(i gained 8lbs so far) i am a medium build. I guess i would say it depends on our bodies. My friend didn't show until 4 monthes and when she saw the bump it went from bump to big belly in no time. Take care.

Every woman and every pregnancy is different.
I'm about 5'7" and 115lbs(that is also pre-pregnancy weight for both babies) and in both of my pregnancies I didn't really show until near the end of the pregnancies and even then it was a tiny bump...so tiny I didn't even look like I was pregnant and I didn't have to buy maternity clothing, I just wore my regular skinny clothing throughout both pregnancies(which I think was a great plus for me because the maternity clothes I saw when I thought I'd gain weight very early in my first pregnancy, before finding out my weight and belly outcome of course, were sooo very expensive). But my first cousin who a few months behind me in my second pregnancy should really early....when I was at my 5th month I still had a flat belly and she was in her 2nd month and looked more like she should have been near 9months.

Average weight with a flat tummy, too. At 8 weeks I was showing. I looked like I was having twins! Just had a 7 pound boy, only gained 22lbs during that pregnancy. But it was ALL baby and boobs.

It really varies by person. I started showing around 2 months with all 3 of my kids, and my sister in law had a good size bump at 6 weeks. It all depends on how your body is built and how you carry.

I was about 16-18 weeks. I don't recall exactly the week, but it was near the start of my 5th month when I noticed a little bump.

With the first around 10 weeks, with the second about 7 weeks.
I am very slim so it was easier to see the bump

I was about 15-16 weeks when I noticed, but other people didn't really see it until I was closer to 20. Even then, only people who knew I was pregnant said anything. Strangers gave me that "is she pregnant or fat?" look. Even know I'm really small and people are surprised to find out how far along I am (29 wks).
I was really anxious to "look" pregnant, but looking back it was kind of nice to be able to fit into smaller clothes longer.

I noticed i had gained a little weight when i was about 16wks - less room in the pants etc! lol. But i didn't actually gain a bump that was noticeable to others until i was about 24wks.
Now i'm 30wks and, although i haven't gained much weight, my bump is looking like a mountain! lol. Fun times!
Congrats to you!

With my first pregnancy I didn't start showing until I was 6 1/2 months pregnant. Then it seems as if it suddenly appeared over night. With my second pregnancy (twins) I was showing at 2 months.
