I dunno... I just hear this thing about an "agenda" getting tossed around all the time. I'm curious as to what it is? From the way it sounds and with all the boycotting of gay friendly buisnesses... it must be really dangerous.

(sarcasm) (spelling...)

As described to me by my (very gay) friend:

9:00 AM - Hit snooze button
10:00 AM- roll out of bed
11:00 AM- Starbucks
Noon-4:00- Shopping
5:00- Dinner with friends
7:00- Home getting dressed for the evening
9:00- Dancing the night away

As I hear it, that morning frappuccino is VERY important! The Republicans are terrified of our coffee buying power.

The homosexual agenda (or the gay agenda) is a term used by social conservatives to describe the goal of increasing LGBT acceptance through public policies, media exposure, and cultural change. Most often, the term is employed by social conservatives in reference to what they see as the attempt to redefine marriage and family, and shift focus away from what they consider traditional morality. Some such critics of the LGBT movement argue that this agenda is a secret one,[1] whilst others who believe there is a "homosexual agenda" don't describe it as secretive.[2]

The term is offensive to many,[3] particularly those who view the goals of the movement to be equal rights. Sometimes those who would be offended by a serious reference to this term still use it satirically or sarcastically.[

There is none, that's the whole point.

Homophobic people use this to make it sound as if gay people are setting out to change the world into gays. The truth is, most gay people want to be left alone and blend in with society, or to do their own thing and not be harassed for it. This is their so-called 'agenda'. Not as harmful as it sounds, is it?

Just fighting this:

Lansing, Michigan) The Michigan Court of Appeals today ruled that the state's constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage prevents public institutions from providing benefits to same-sex partners of employees. Due to the ban, the following steps have been taken in the the State of Michigan:

Domestic partner benefits that had been won by state unions have been terminated.
The University of Michigan and Wayne State University have been mandated to shut down their benefits programs to same-sex couples.
The City of Kalamazoo has been mandated to shut down their benefits programs to same-sex couples.
Michigan's constitutional amendment defined marriage as the union between a man and a woman and as the only agreement that can be recognized as a marriage "or similar union for any purpose." "The marriage amendment's plain language prohibits employers from offering

It is a conspiracy that the homophobes invented to try and scare other hetero people and make them think that the evil gay people are trying to get special treatment.

Similar tactics worked in Germany in the 1930's and 1940's.

Once the gvmt sanctions gay marriages, gays will use this to force others to accept them and force corporations to give them benefits that they didn't earn.

This is as wrong as preventing gay marriage. Where preventing gay marriage is using gvmt to prevent associations, the other is using gvmt to force people into associations they don't choose to accept.

Both are wrong under the first amendment. And the gvmt should get out of the marriage business.
