1. Look after and love your nearest and dearest
2. Be kind to everyone on the way up, you may just need them when your on the way down.
3.Don't take yourself to seriously - if you can't laugh at yourself who can you laugh at ?
4. Everything happens for a reason - Every cloud has a silver lining.
5. Don't judge a book by it's cover

The most important lesson I learned was that no one can live your life for you. If you want something, go out and get it, don't let it pass you by. And it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.
