Well, if you're a new fan, then I suggest you start off with their recent one (DecemberUnderground) and work your way backwards. Especially if you've just gotten into AFI.
Or else you might get into a state of shock because their older albums sound very different.
My favourite one is Black Sails In The Sunset.
But if you wanna try straight-up punk and hardcore, then listen to their old records.

in case you want Decemberunderground, then your staggering wager may be Sing the Sorrow. that is even as they began dropping countless their hardcore sound. yet, quite, the older AFI albums (earlier STS and DU) are the superb. i'm not certain in case you wish them thinking the variety of music you reported you cherished. So.. purchase Sing The Sorrow and a pair of songs off of their older albums

personally the cd i like the most is black sails in the sunset it's fairly hard. if you are looking for a more of their current molodic structured music id say sing the sorrow or for one of their more punk hardcore cd's go for answer that and stay fashionable. i truly love them all but i think these should grab youre attention pretty well.

it's you decision, but if it was me in your shoes, i would pick the art of drowning, but if you want newer ones it would be decemberunderground or even sing the sorrow.
