use a primer before applying your makeup. I LOVE Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera gel, which is only $1 at Target.

seriously try this one .... it works. not only is my skin unbelievably sensitive and oily, but acne-prone. and this stuff hasn't irritated it in the least!

use about a 1/2 dime to a dime-sized amount on your face, preferably when your face is still damp from washing it/showering. (that will "seal" in the moisture.) rub it in gently for about a minute.

also make sure you use a finishing (translucent) powder AFTER applying makeup, to "set" your makeup/absorb oil. =)

For your foundation make sure to use a matte mosturizer under it. Clarins makes one. Also over your foundation you can put some powder on to help with the oily skin. If you have on eye makeup the best primer to put on your eyelids is made by urban decay. You just put a little on and it stays on all day long.

If you want to stop that melt down look make sure if you are using foundation that it is water based and not oil based.
Also you want to buy a compact press powder that Loreal sells it's creamy but not oily and leaves your skin looking re-freshed after just a dab here and there.
Also I will suggest that you user a toner to clean your face after you have washed it clean at night.

okay, this sounds really weird, but I've heard of people spraying an aeresol hair spray into the air and putting your face under it, just to catch a tiny bit of spray on your face. I guess it helps to keep your makeup in place during the day. :)
