Certainly. Generally, an antique is anything that is at least 100 years old. So there have been antiques as long as there have been people who saved things, give or take the first 100 years of civilization.

Since an antique is an object that is over 100 years old, then at any point in history,there would have been people who had objects that were over 100 years old. So yes, they had antiques.

For something to be considered an antique, it has to be 50 years or older. So, yes, they had antiques. They just may not have called them that.

A 100 years ago if you had a 400 year old table, it was considered an Antique.

If they did where are they? Did they just disappear? I think what people think of as antique is just people these days who want nostalgia of times when they were young or to have something their families would have had. Nothing is worth anything if no one wants it.

Nope, everything was brand-new. Seriously, antique furniture like you know it wasn't popular because before electric lights houses were very dark, and brightly painted furniture was more popular than natural wood.

Sure. Fine furniture and other items have been made for centuries, so depending on when you mean by "the old days" there was older stuff.
