Green tea helps me. Exercise regularly as that quietens body. Think of what you are going to achieve, the rewards for you. Don't overdo it and take breaks.

Have a look at the motivation section at Muskingum college Center for the Advancement of Learning

I'm currently in my third year and final year of my Crime Scene Science degree and i know how you feel.

Concentrating on exams and coursework is always an issue for me.

Surprising i find putting on a DVD I've seen a thousand times (like a box set) helps me concentrate as I'm not as inclined to actually watch it. either that or have a CD on quietly in the background, something I'm not going to want to sing along to or dance about to.

Sometimes working with my housemates helps, even though they aren't doing the same course, just being in the same room as someone else who is working makes me more motivated to concentrate on what ever I'm working on.

I also find having a load of comfort food in the house helps. I know it's not the most healthy of things to do but it makes it easier for me to concentrate when I'm not sat thinking about how much i want chocolate or crisps or something.

Hope that helps.

I would advise having a clutter free environment - a clear table in a tidy room, with as little as possible in the room to make your mind wander. Make sure you are comfortable, too - comfortable for working, not comfortable for falling asleep.

Breathing and relaxation. work in 20minute slots then take a short break. Make your study goals very tangible.

There's an old saying 'Knowing that you are going to be hanged in the morning helps to concentrate the mind wonderfully.'

No good to you, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway! :-)
