whats the point of cat deely? i mean, i`ve nothing against the girl, i quite like her but she is like a fish out of water in that show.

momof3-i agree with you. she is a nice girl but the script is so contrived that it has me squirming in my seat. i`ve always liked her before but i dont like her part in this, i dont think any other british presenter would be any better, the script is more suited to an american.

I think it would be better if they let her be with that Ryan seagul person rather than be on the outside looking in.
She is a warm fun person and would be lots better if they let her near the acts and not just stuck her on the views.
She also does presenting of another talent show but not sure what it is called.

This years is the first that I have bothered to watch so I can't imagine it without Cat Deely, but I guess they are just trying to bridge the gap for us Brits... after all, it is quite nice having our own presenter too, so it feels like a proper show rather than just (no offensive intended) another US import... But I do agree, sometimes she comes across as being a little pointless lol.

I tottaly agree but america seems to like her she hosts loads of shows in american like american idol so you think you can dance and theres more I think :-)

I think she is only shown on UK showings, to make it feel like we're not watching something straight from the US, but she is very very annoying at the same time!

i think she has been edited in for british viewers, coz she is never seen with the judges or the audtionees, she has been taped after the shoe aired in the US, yeh ur right, fish outa water

she is not taped in afterwards because she was deffo on Rodeo Drive in California...I was thinking the same thing actually.... The california one had plenty of people who thought they could sing but were just weirdo's...
