I am not much on world coins but a good site for US coins is Heritagecoins.com

You could always look at the ANA site for information and links at Money.org. Joining the ANA would get you their monthly magazine which has articles about world coins as well as US coins. Plus loads of advertisements for reference.

Have fun!

You didn't say if you just wanted info, or to buy coins. For world coins from around 1900 and up at reasonable prices try www.therosesworldcoins.com For more mystic or exotic coins try www.anythinganywhere.com. If you live in the U.S. try going to a coin dealer and pick up some basic books on the subject. Most U.S. coin sites are trying to sell you something. As for the ANA that is the American Numismatic Association I never joined and never will. As far as I am concerned they have never helped the average collector. The shenanigans has only made coin prices higher and the leaders, who don't lead so well, trip a lot for their noses are always up in the air. If you wan to join a good organization that studies coins and has no secret agendas join the American Numismatic Society. Two weekly coin papers are available ther are Coin World and Numismatic News see them at a coin dealers store If you are an American.
