That weight puts her at ~90th percentile for her age. This means that there are still 10% of kids who weigh more than her. As long as you're not over feeding her with "junk food", or using food/drinks as rewards, don't worry.

Well, my son will be 3 in May and he weighs 28 pounds. He still isn't all the way trained and he wears Size 5 diapers for the overnight periods. He wears size 24M and sometimes size 3T too.

I think that you need to talk about it with your pediatrician. And, if he concurs with you, both of you can formulate something like a meal plan. That way, you'll have the doctor's advice and more peace of mind about what you are doing.

It's hard to compare kids that age, there is so much difference between them. They will even out after a few years. If she's wearing 18 month pants, she's probably just really tall. My cousin's son is 17 months and wears 3T clothes - obviously he weighs a lot more than most kids his age, but he is also really really tall, so it's ok. She's probably fine, but if you feel that she is overweight ask your doctor what he/she thinks about her weight.

Your child is just the right size, but the 2 year old child is more under wieght than over. I know a 2 year old who weighs around 38 pound. That is overweight. My cousin who just turned 2 is about the same weight as the 2 year old you described. So don't worry about it.

honestly as long as she is healthy she is fine. 22Ibs might be a little bit chubby but don't worry about it. I am pretty sure she is eating when she is hungry and as soon as she starts walking she is going to loose it all from running around. My son is 19 months and weighs 25Ibs and he used to weigh more at 9 months but when he started walking he lost alot of weight and the doc said that was to be expected. Don't worry about it and just be happy you have a very healthy child.

at this age, the only concern you should be worrying about is if she is losing weight (which is not good at all for any babies). all babies gain weight faster or shorter, more or less, than other babies. she may be a big baby now, doesn't mean she'll be a fatty all her life. babies know how much they want to eat, because they eat when they are hungry. they don't know the concept of "snacking". since she can only eat baby food, she should be fine. the time you should really watch what she eat is after she turns one years of age...when she can almost eat anything (like candy).

No. She's just fine. My son was 30 pounds at 11 months and is tall. You need not worry about her weight as long as she's gaining.

If your doctor is not concerned about it, you have nothing to worry about. Each kid is different. For instance, two kids, same age (10 days difference) one is 15 pounds and the other is 22 pounds. Its just genetics.

Babies come in all different sizes so stop comparing. As long as your baby is following his/her growth curve everything should be fine.
