I was left a large stamp collection by a family member and have no idea how to go about selling it. can anyone help....PLEASE!!!!!

You must either do the research to find out the true value of the collection or find someone you trust to do it. Then you can take it to a reputable dealer and feel comfortable that you are not being cheated.

I'd suggest contacting a reputabable auction house for an appraisal. In fact, you may want to get two - one from an auction house and one from an independent appraiser. You can fnd both in the phone book. You need to know the value of the collection before you make plans to sell. Then you can decide whether it should be an auction house, ebay, private sale etc.

Ebay is a great place to sell valuables. You can set a reserve so that you get enough money out of your collection.
Ebay for Dummies is a great book that will guide you step by step through the selling process.

Or sell it on Ebay
