I want to buy and MP3 player and I also need a recorder to record lectures from my classes. What brands carry such devise? Are they any good?

Most of the mp3 players out there record. . .however, the recording periods are different for each one. . .I would get an mp3 player with a large memory bank. . .that would guarantee your recording of your lectures. . .

Yes, there are. I would recommend the Sandisk Sansa brand players as they are widely available, cheap, and work well. But there are many other brands you could try, even an iPod if you want to shell out extra cash for the adapter.
