when do halo 2 tournaments occur?

i was not aware that xbox live had tournaments for games. the only xbox live game i want a tournament it for halo 2. ive heard of it. but when do they happen? and its free right? what kind of mode do u play?

if ur wondering y i dont want GOW tournament its cuz i havent played it cuz my 360 is broke :(

Its not as big anymore because halo2 been out for a long time but its still amazingly big,
