mathmeticians??

i need to do a page report on a mathematician , that had something to contribute to math, for instance i need to write what they invented in math which math problems are associated with them. or if there are any math riddles or games they have ,ade to make learning easier and more fun.

Do one on the Pythagorean theory guy. There is alot of information you can find about him, and his theory is one that most ppl know.

Carl Frederick Gauss. Very easy to write about. Lots of interesting information and considered the greatest mathematician of all time. Legends of him solving famous theorums at age 8 and what have you.

EDIT to bckeys44: Moderately accurate, but highly simplified. He recieved an assignment to sum the values between two unknown numbers (which may have been in a non-standard increment) which eventually led him to discover the most basic summation property of N. There are tons of storys like this about him, which is why he's so good to write about.

Carl Fredrick Gauss. When he was in like 4th grade his teacher gave him a problem like add the numbers from 1 to 100000 thinking it would keep the class busy. Carl did it in about 1 minute.
