i think it is a form of child abuse, because all they are doing is letting there kids eat is candy and other stuff like that. and i hate it when they say "it is not my fault, it is in our family to be fat" that is a load of ****. parents need to take care of there kids and help them eat things that are good for them. not let them go around with a candy bar all day long!

first of all, Dr Phil is not the god that he seems to think that he is... and while I do believe that there is a possibility for the child being obese and not being able to help it, the parents are the ones that are feeding him/her. You'd think that even the worst parents would realize that the kid was getting obese after, say the kid weighed over 100 pounds? And, one has to wonder... How big are the parents? how do they hold this kid? has the child ever been held by it's parents? how do the parents bathe this child? where do you buy clothes for a child that weighs over 200 pounds? What size is that?

I had a neighbor that had a 2yrs old child at least 100 pounds. I never saw that toddler in clothes! They let the poor kid run around in a diaper and it still had a bottle! They acted like it was normal bec the parents were both fat. I ask and they said the Dr said, she was just healthy! I couldn't believe there response.

That is a form of child abuse. If a mother really loved her child she would not let her child be that over weight at such a young age. She probably gives the kid food to keep the child busy or to shut the child up.

I would have my child at the doctor's office way before they got to 200 lbs. That would be terrible! I think it's a form of child abuse if you let it go on that way and not do anything about it.

In my own opinion, it's not abusive at all. The parents have a right to fatten the child up. They may want to eventually put the child in a circus sideshow and make a few dollars. Don't you just love Dr. Phil's show?

This doesn't seem possible I would certainly have had the baby into the doctor a long time ago, and I wouldn't be parading around on Dr. Phil.

There was a little girl at the park last summer who was like that and the poor thing was huffing and puffing trying to run around and play. She was sweet as could be and it's really unfortunate that her family (I think they all have a responsibility) isn't able to give her the best hand in life that they can.

I think it is definitely child abuse if there is not a medical reason for it, like thyroid problems. I saw the preview for the show and there is no reason to let your child get that big. They should be ashamed.

If I had a 2-year-old that weighed that much (and it didn't involve a medical condition) I would hope that my family would take me out and slap me around.
Thanks again to the Television for being a babysitter, and to Hostess for being a pacifier.
The world is coming to an end.
